are points convertable between partners?

I think Hawaiian and Northwest are partners. If I had 5000 miles on Hawaii are they convertable to Northwest?
United/Delta etc???

Airline FF miles are generally not convertable directly between airlines nor can miles from two or more FF programs be pooled to obtain a ticket. However, many times the miles from one airline can be used on another by using an intermediary such as Diners Club or when an agreement exists such as the one about to expire between US Airways and American. In addition, most airlines have numerous partnerships or belong to aliances such as "Star" or "One-World"
