That is most certainly a concern for me. Is Alaska at risk of going under right now or any time in the future?
Maybe I will stick with the AA mastercard then.

didn't realize that you could transfer points and top off FF accounts with diners, and now that it is a mastercard, I think I can live with the fee, and the CS has to be better than amex. So, I went ahead and applied for the diners MC, thanks for the recommendations all. Does anyone have a phone number to check the app status for diners?
