I was wondering if there any website portals to receive mileage for buying stuff from Amazon.com . I have been looking and have had no luck finding anything

Just a warning. The only partner I believe is US Airways, but I have never gotten my miles to post for Amazon. Plus you have to install some sort of IE plug-in to get it to work.

Just FYI, Amazon's affiliate agreement specifically forbids affiliates from providing incentives for customers to use their affiliate link. In other words, affiliates can't offer someone points, cash, miles, or any other incentive to shop through their links. Since that's exactly how most "stuff for shopping" sites (e.g. Memolink, MyPoints, Ebates, FatWallet, etc.) work, none of those sites are allowed to actually pay out for Amazon shopping.

Amazon has only three links on Andrew Cram's website. I don't know about the Care2 or USAir links, but the Ebates link doesn't provide any cash back. Ebates has links to Amazon but they are for coupons only... they will not pay any ebates on Amazon purchases.

So... if you can't find any sites that give you miles, cash, or anything else for shopping at Amazon, that's why: it's against Amazon's affiliate agreement.

(And the webflyer site has no links to Amazon.)

Borders Books now works through Amazon. You can purchase gift certificates for Borders on Gift Certificates.com. You then enter Amazon through www.borders.com and it will bring you into the Amazon web site and then you can use your Borders gift certificates there. You must enter this way in order to use the certificates.

I tried the usdividendairmiles bonus bar but I have had no luck installing it and it says you are required to use it to get credit for Amazon purchases through us airways. Thanks for all the other info.

If you really want miles you might like to look at some of amazon's competitors - specifically Barnes & Noble which gives miles / points with Alaska, Aloha, American, America West, Amtrak, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United, Globalpass, Marriott, Priority Club, Airmilesmart, Clickrewards, Goldpoints, Greenpoints, Mypoints, Phonehog, Ebates, and Upromise.

FYI On my site Care2 doesn't award you anything but insteads makes a donation to charity based on your purchase.

You forgot FatWallet. In fact, of all the "cash back" sites, FatWallet provides the highest payout for B&N. Since I prefer cashback when I shop, I always check the "big 3" of FatWallet, Ebates, and uPromise to find the one with the highest payout (they are usually not equal). For those of you with a Citibank Dividend card, you can also check on www.citidividendmerchants.citicards.com.

Can borders GC be used on ANY amazon.com product?

The only surefire way of getting some sort of incentive miles/points when buying from Amazon.com is this way:

Use a portal that gives you the incentive when you purchase from Giftcertificates.com

You can buy Amazon.com e-mailable gift certs from Giftcertificates.com which cost nothing other than their face value. E-Mail them to yourself or to someone else and then use them when purchasing from Amazon.com

The miles/points that you will earn from Giftcertificates.com do show up after the normal delay in posting to your account.

Nope... they got rid of Amazon GCs in May. However, they DO carry certificates to B&N, for example. B&N has competitive pricing with Amazon, and they often have a number of great books in their "Sale Annex" section (a.k.a. the Clearance and/or Bargain Books section). If you're using B&N, though, there's no need to go through GiftCertificates.com - FatWallet pays 4% on B&N purchases.
