Cool Dubai Relocation

I am currently leaving in the US, but I will be relocated in Dubai. I have lots of milage with AA, CO, UA (around 100,000 each). I don't want to loose the mileages, so I have two options:
- Travel all around using all my miles, or/and
- Transfer them to airlines based in Dubai.
I will be travelling very frequently with Emirates as soon as I am relocated.
I need your advice... @:-)
Thank you,
Alex.

You can't really "transfer" your miles into another airlines program. ATo keep your miles you just need some type of activity usually every three years. This can be redeeming a ticket, buying flowers through the website or having a hotel stay that gives miles. You may want to see who partners with whom. Just because you are relocating doesn't mean you have to start over!!!

Your CO miles can be used on EK - your AA miles on BA - UA on LH or Qatar. So why worry?

We live in Dubai, and held onto our UA miles. They have a desk at the DNATA airline center and we've had absolutely NO problems going there and getting award tickets on other Star Alliance airlines right there on the spot! (A very different experience than we've had trying to use our KLM miles!!!) The only advantage that I can see with Emirates miles is that they can be used on hotels, etc. in the area, but the big disadvantage is that their miles expire. We've lost enough of the Emirates miles through expiration that we usually put the Emirates miles on our UA account...so much easier to use them.

Emirates allows you tp ost with UA whose redemption rates are far superior to EK so I would put all my Emirates flights into the Mileage Plus account.

im SO jealous , ive always wanted to live in Dubai

But i agree with every1 else. Just hold on to your miles, plenty of opportunity to use them ex Dubai

Enjoy the tax free enviornment, whereas Im stuck in YYZ paying 15% tax on everything I buy

I would also look into Lufthansa Miles and More as they allow family accounts - meaning you can pool your miles.
