Confusion over the Points.com double bonus offer
Received the e-mail about the Points.com double bonus promo, and I have some question that I hope you guys can help answer.
Q1 - It says you get double bonus. Does that mean I can choose 1 bonus each for 2 loyalty programs? Say the first bonus for AA and the second bonus for Alaska? Or do I only get to credit 1 program, but get twice the usual amount?
Q2 - It also says you can choose which bonus you want, but when I click on the link, it takes me directly to the upgrade page, and I don't see no pulldown window that lists all the options. What am I doing wrong here?

I'm guessing what you are doing wrong is not paying the absolutely absurd $9.95 a month to join points.com which has just totally gone out of its mind thinking someone, anyone will pay that price to transfer points. I suppose they may find people to join for one month, but it strains basic belief that any sane person would join points.com to make transfers for longer.
then again, I've seen some supposedly sane people pay $295 to join united's ameniti, but that at least offered 25,000 miles and two united lounge passes (and a player to be named later, I believe).
points.com offers not even this supposed semblence of value.

My gold membership just expired but if there is a double offer to do Ebay->AA I may pay $10 for that.

You don't get double points on swaps, you only get double the signup bonus. So if the old bonus is 2500 Ebay points, now you get 5000. Also, the double bonus promo is only good if you sign up for an annual membership of 99.95 dollars.
What is not clear to me is if you can get half and half. Say 2500 in Ebay points and the rest in AA miles. Since there is no phone number to call, there is no way for me to ask their reps.

points.com update
My friend told me they took their phone number off their website, so now you will have to request them to phone you if you want to talk to them.
