I wonder how strict they are going to be about requiring the original Sept. mileage statement. I have one from October but I threw the older ones out some time ago. I think I'll call and order one also just in case.

I e-mailed UAL requesting a copy of my sept statement and they e-mailed me back within 2 hours ,gladly sending a copy ASAP at no charge.

Does anyone have good idea how to spend thousands of dollers in a couple of month?
Since Amex is less accepted than VISA/MC, I need good idea to spned my money WISELY. I do not have any plan of big traveling, purchasing a computer,or fixing house. I am planning to purchse a couple hundreds doller worth of gas pre-paid card when the deadline is getting close. Anyone know the internet bank which allows us to fund an initial deposit with Amex credit card? Thanks. |
Depends upon what you shop for and what you buy. Go to Home Depot and buy a few hundred dollars of gift cards there and use them yourself. Or go to a big department store and buy gift certifs. or cards there. Etc., etc., etc. The possibilities are endless.

I have 50,000 miles in both my NW & US accounts.
NW refuses to give me a statement because there was no activity in my account for September,2000. Any suggestions on who to speak to? I have made several calls to the World Perks dept. to no avail. I had signed up for an electronic statement from US. Again there was no activity that month. I was able to print a online page saying that I had 50,000 in September, but it isn't a statement. How flexable will Amex be? They are asking for original statements. |

or http://www.moneyzap.com Both take AMEX. With paydirect, the limit is $1000/mo, moneyzap is higher but you have to make several payments. [This message has been edited by pdx_dr (edited 02-04-2001).] |
DJLAWMAN: Maybe I missed something in your figures, but I have the Delta Platinum and when you renew the card you also get a free companion ticket. So add that to your booty. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Marysunshine: I Agree! I agree! I agree! LOL.
(Although my experience with companion tickets is that sometimes the restrictions make them not worth the paper they are printed on.) Djlawman |

One way to avoid unpleasant concern about whether a charge will be traeted as a charge or a cash advance is to call the cc company and have them set your acct with a zero limit for cash advances.

[B]I just got an e-mail from AMEX that I'm one of the 10,000 people. ----------------------------------------- I applied and was approved for the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card (through American Express) during the Oct 2 – 20 sign-up period. Since then, I have charged over $10,000 on the card but have not received a letter indicating I was one of the first 10,000 people to apply, thus qualify for the special Frequent Flyer Mileage promotion (and eligibility to receive up to 50,000 bonus SkyMiles.) Yesterday, after reading about the congratulatory letters on this site, I called American Express Customer Service but was told those letters (indicating qualification) would NOT be sent until after May 31st. Obviously, this is not true. D Does anyone have correct information to find out if one qualified for the promotion, i.e., were among first 10,000 to apply? |
