Getting Miles for Airline Gift Certificates
Are there such things as gift certificates on AA or UA?

If so, can I purchase them and get miles?

American has gift certificates in demoninations of 25, 50, 100 and $150. Perhaps other amounts that I do not know. You can purchase them at http://www.giftcertificates.com

You should be able to earn miles for flying on gift certificates. You are best to purchase the gc's through aolaadvantage or another website that gives points/miles fr your purchases.
