US - 300,000
UA - 150,000
AA - 10,000
Diner's - 350,000
Hilton - 620,000
Starwood - 20,000

I don't know if I should rejoice because I have so may points or cry because this is the first time I have taken inventory and it reinforces how much travel I have had to do to earn them (I have redeemed many more points in addition to those listed above).

Anyone want to analyze my miles:
1 airline: 415,000
2. 150,000
3. 69,000
4. 31,000
5. 12,000
6. 11,000
7. 6,000
8. 2,000

Unless I fly more, airline 7 and 8 are only good for magazines. 5 and 6 is within reach of 25,000. Airlines 1-4 will get used for awards.

It depends. What are airlines 7 and 8. You probably could dump 7 into a hotel program as the average threshold is 5000. Would be good enough for a night or two.

For me:
Alaska 20K
American 170K
BA 150K
Clickrewards 10K
Continental 60K
Delta 80K
Northwest 260K
United 180K
USAirways 10K

For my wife:
American 25K
Delta 25K
Northwest 40K
United 10K

So thats 1,040,000 miles - not counting miles that can be transferred from hotel points.

So, to summarize so far, those who have posted hold approximately .001% of the estimated 3.5 trillion frequent flyer miles out there.

OK... I am confused.

Are we mixing apples and oranges? Miles from airlines and points from hotels?

Of course... this is unofficial anyway...

<getting out my calculator to figure out the conversion rates!!>

"Are we mixing apples and oranges? Miles from airlines and points from hotels?"

Given the magnitude (or lack thereof) of our total in comparison to the grand total outstanding, I doubt that it makes much difference.

I'll add 340K AA miles and about 60K orphans still unredeemed for a total of 400K. That takes us up to:
42,116,000.
