Midway joins CO-NW FF program

Effective May 1, Midway will be joining CO and NW FF alliance. Now a place to add to my orphan CO miles.

Those of us who fly JI a lot now have a choice to make ... OnePass or WorldPerks. Assuming my non-JI travel is about an equal fit with either CO or NW, what should I consider when deciding to put my JI miles toward OnePass vs WorldPerks?

Continental allows elite qualification based on segments, Northwest does not.

Advantages of OnePass

Segment qualification.

NW own Cybersavers give CO credit, but not WP credit.

Advantages of World Perks

Fewer Elites

Lower Fares through NWA

Better international redemption.

On balance, for most flyers, CO is better, but more crowded.
