I heard United is going to bring back linens and Godiva chocolates for first class pax only on this flight but that the configuration is F Suite C+ but no Y+. It seems Ozstamps already booked 15A upstairs so don't bother trying...
I also heard that...
-Continental is using their new 737-800 with mid cabin lav on this route but that EUA won't clear until you pass Mars. With Vulcan's help with bonuses we can all earn about a billion miles for each roundtrip.
-Delta is waiving their L fare upgrade restriction on this route for the first 10 people who fly this route roundtrip in BizElite 3 times.
-American is using only MRTC converted planes but instead of catering they are handing out dehydrated Bistro meals. The FA will perform a water service only to rehydrate the meals.
-Northwest isn't going there since none of their fleet could make it; they will codeshare with Continental.
-Southwest has announced a $198 roundtrip fare on the route which will help keep the other airlines prices down.
-I don't know what America West is doing but neither do they so it doesn't matter.
-Hilton is offering introductory rates of $0 at the Uranus Airport Hilton since it isn't built yet just to see how many people will book rooms. For those that make the trip only to find no hotel they are offering 10000 HHonors points and a Towers upgrade on your next stay.
-If you book your flight with the AMEX Platinum card you get triple miles and a free headset rental.
-Remember due to the increased need for extra oxygen all overhead bins have been removed to make room for O2 containers. Your emergency space suit can be found under your seat cushion.
-In order to make sure we all have the most up to date info on the inagural flights, Doc will keep us all advised of future news about these routes.
-All in all it should make for some pretty interesting mileage runs. Hey, Randy P. want to join us on the first flight. It will be UA's new Round the Galaxy Flight and you could bring some of those new FT luggage tags and even the names of the UA chat winners!
