Mexicana Mileage Question
A couple of quick questions...
1. Since the beginning of the year, has anyone been able to successfully transfer any non-Mexicana-flown miles into their Hilton Honors accounts?
2. Can we do anything with those now "orphaned" Mexicana Frequenta miles? Can they be converted into another airline program, hotel, something...or are these mile now a complete "writeoff" given that I will most likely NEVER fly any Mexicana flights.
Thanks for the feedback.

Dubuque huh? Well, I'm a Sioux City boy myself. I personally don't know the answer but i think that a few of the others who have 'majored' in this topic will be along to help. Go Hawkeyes or Cyclones?

How about "Go Jackets!"...as in Goergia Tech Yellowjackets...I'm just a "transplanted" Dubuque-r...don't claim them as my own!!!
Actually though, I guess it is "Go Duhawks!" as my wife is now a professor at Loras College here in Dubuque, and I could care less about either the Cyclones or Hawkeyes...but don't tell my neighbors and friends here that please, they might run me out of town on a rail! Ha!
Randy...I'm sure some of the experts will be along here shortly to answer my questions. Good to see you lurking around in here. Regards.

I have the same question. They sent me an email saying that they changed their policy on December 12, 2000 to only allow flight miles to transfer. How can they differentiate how they are earned? I thought it was all about the totals for transferring.

Did not receive anything from us, although I am participating. Seems even that it is nearly impossible to have my Hilton stays contributing (3 months and nothing is posted).
I do not try any longer to convert, but think to get a 15 000 miles reward.

I would imagine it is just like NW for example. It is broken down by flight and nonflight activity on the web site. Shopping and dining are clearly non-flight, while mileage for flights shows the city pairs and flight #, etc. American shows that it was a survey or email summary bonus, etc. Very easy to know if flights were established for mileage. These things are simply coded in when the data is entered into your account.

I was able to get mine transferred just under the wire in early December.
My advice would be to wait a bit longer and try again. I'm sure the change in policy was caused by the rush of FTers once the news spread on this site. They may not be looking as closely a few months down the road.
