Converting Virgin miles to BA miles?

Dear All

New on here so apologies if this is a frequently asked question, I couldn't find it anywhere.

Just wondering (I'm imagining there isn't a way) if there is a way to convert any Virgin miles to BA miles via some roundabout route?! I want to pay for a cheap flight to Europe and I'm almost at the limit to get a flight with BA and I have some old Virgin miles left over from a while back that may well take me over the limit.

Many thanks
Richard

There's a Mileage Converter calculator at www.webflyer.com which can answer your question (the answer I believe is yes, at a 10 to 1 rate)

As you're new to FT, you may find better results posting this on the Virgin or BA fora where those who know the ins and outs of these programs can offer a better answer. However, I seriously doubt there will be a way to do this without losing most of the value of these miles. Some airlines provide for a transfer of their miles into HHonors, and from there you can convert your HHonors points into airline miles. But the value loss will be considerable. As an aside, given the "love" between these two UK-based competitors, your desire might be considered rather audacious, to say the least.
