service levels.
hi!
last few yrs i've travelled a decent number of airlines (all in coach), and seen the service level vary greatly from airline to airline...
usually, american carriers have the worst service, especially domestic. they're efficient all right, but make you almost feel guilty for bothering the FAs. surprisingly, some of the smaller airlines (royal jordanian, for eg) can have pretty good service. swissair is possibly the best. klm is decent, but the NW influence seems to be rubbing off...
also, it seems to make a huge diff how full the plane is. on a empty-ish plane, the service levels seem to shoot up.
the best service level that i have encountered is of a domestic carrier in india, jet airways. you need to fly them to realize what service is. i think anyone who has flown them would agree.
