Rapid Challenge of AA Advantage upgrade

I think I saw a post a year or so ago, regarding how to "challenge" the upgrade process for the AA Advantage program. If I remember correctly, if you were going to do some heavy duty flying over a short period, you could contact AA and use this shorter period to achive upgrade status. Anyone remember the specifics of what you have to do?
Thanks

Checkout FewMiles' excellent web site. Here's the page about AA challenges:

If you have more questions, hop over to the AA board. My guess is that this thread will be moved or closed by the mods soon.

Welcome to Flyertalk. If you are unable to find the answer on "FewMiles" website, I suggest surfing the American board (going back a couple of months). A Provate Mesage to one of the moderators on that board can assist you if your surfing expedition does not pan out.
