According to the San Francisco Chronicle...
El Al has become the first airline to have a frequent flyer program for pets. Animals who take three round-trips from the US to Israel within 3 years can earn a free round-trip flight. Pet rates, based on weight average $98 from LA to Tel Aviv.
Jet setting pets who join before Aug.31 won't have to put up the $35 membership to join the Points for Pets program.
Do you think this will catch on with other airlines? A friend of mine flys his Basset Hound NY-SF almost monthly and pays over $200 per flight...this would save him alot.
