TWA miles

If AA acquires TWA, will TWA frequent flyer miles be combined with AA miles?

You're in luck, kiddo, unless you have a lifetime TWA Club membership!

Does this mean that it is safe to transfer American Express points to TWA, then to AA if the programs will merge in the end?

MilesManiac,

Yes, it is probably safe. However the purchase has not yet gone through so why not just wait until it is official before moving over your miles? That may happen within just a few weeks.

You do take a little risk of what happened in Canada (where Amex dropped one of the carriers over there with no notice due to a request by the carrier) but I would be surprised if that were to happen here.
