I am sure there will be more to come with this alliance. Hopefully, it will offer millions of us additional opportunities.

The program sounds pretty exciting, specially if they let us move points around at a better ratio than existing schemes like hhonors. quiet honestly im surprised to see AA sign up. However, having just AA, Air Canada and America West aint gonna cut it. They need to have delta, united, cont and northwest...otherwise their audience is very limited.

I wonder what will happen if you move points out of one (say AA) and into another (HP) and then move them back, depending on the "cost" to move them, this would be an easy way to get to million mile status.

jeffo, I could not get their points exchange calculator to work, but I suspect that it will be similar to the program that Hilton has where you lose big time on every transfer
(for example, transferring 5,000 miles from Airline A into Hilton, then transferring them from Hilton to Airline B gives you 1,500 miles for a net loss of 70% of your miles). Hopefully, their exchange rate will be a little better, but most likely you are going to take a big hit using the strategy you suggested.

According to the site, NetCentives/Clickrewards is a partner, which would mean by association that all Clickrewards partners are participating.

Beckles: wrong. just coz Netcentives participates, it doesnt mean all their partners participate. Netcentives doesn't own the airlines. But yeah, you could in theory move points from CLickRewards to Points.com to one of Points.com's partners...(if I understand it correctly). But why would you want to do that when ClickRewards can be transferred anyway? know what i mean..

DL only give you credit for base miles since 1996 toward MM. Bonuses do not count.

The examples given suggest that there will be different points conversion ratios for different programs eg 10,000 United miles might convert to 6,000 Onepass miles while 10,000 Aadvantage miles might only convert to 3,000 Onepass miles.
It will be interesting to see the program in action.
