Vacation Package Deals?
I have checked out Onepass and United Vacations, are there any other good sites I should check for better deals (like Hotwire does for tickets).

Gee, where are you going? Because there are agencies who specializes certain vacation package types/areas. You need to be little more detailed in your request in order to get better response...
Anyway, with Starwood vacation packages, you can save money indirectly. Buy the gift certificates at 20% discount from Starwood Vacation GC The GC is only good toward Starwood vacation package.
Before Costco, switched it travel agency(?), member got 10% discount on Hyatt vacation packages.
my 2 cents

We had a really good experience with DeltaVacations last summer for a trip to Hawaii. Their prices were substantially cheaper than any other package deal that we could find. Have also looked at AAVacations, but never used them.

I consider myself a fairly experienced traveller and Web user, but when I price out packages at UnitedVacations to <wherever> the final cost is always far, far higher than if I booked my air and hotel separately. I've always wondered if I'm missing something.
Secondarily, can you upgrade UAV fares?

Sometimres you really have to play around with dates, day of week, etc. I suppose that the destination also has something to do with it. I know that when I booked air/hotel/car package to Maui last year through DeltaVacations, the same thing was $1,000 - 1,500 more on AA and UA. And it was much better than I could do booking everything separately - - maybe I just got lucky!

Essxjay, Iconcur completely- I jhave always been able to "do better" than UAL vacations, especially when travelling with a family- but also solo. Their negotiated hotel rates are rarely better than other discounted rates.Often hotels have specials that are less than travel agent rates that are negotiated far in advance.
i have found that consolidator airline rates, those which accrue FF miles, to often be agood opportunity at the moment, but not always.
If you are travelling to a remote part of the world and need the expertise of a travel agency/Package, then perhaps the arranged transfers, etc are worth it, butit is often cheaper to itemize and do it yourself.
