Lifetime pass - I'm dreaming

I'm a newbie to this site. I knew a man who had 2 lifetime passes on American and wondered what they would costs. I never found out until today when I found the following link-

http://www.aairpass.com/christmasbook/
Unlimited flights and access to the lounge.

A little too much for my pocketbook.

I guess I'll have to continue to read your forum!

Welcome to FT, localboy18!

Here's the part I can't figure out:
And youll earn AAdvantage miles on every flight!
If you can fly anywhere, anytime, any class, why exactly do you need AAdvantage miles?

Guess you could always give the millions of miles away to other friends and family. Guess I would have to be quite bored....to spend that kind of cash on that. But what do I know?

. . . to obtain award tickets for your less-privileged relatives/friends ????

I can't decide if this is a good deal or not. If each ticket I bought was $2,000 (which is a bit steep right now) I could make 50 flights a year for the next 30 years. So if I was planning on doing that at those prices it would make sense. I guess it is better than a fractional ownership which can be relatively close in price but they you also have to pay per hour (and I am sure additional charges).

Regarding use of miles: OneWorld partner awards and gift travel for friends. It provides a different twist to mileage runs!
Regarding value: 5 million annuitized for the rest of your life with a reserve for inflation adjustments would net, say 3-4% a year, or $150,000 to $200,000 a year or $75,000 to $100,000 per person per year.

Let's say you live in New York because you're rich and you can.

Round trips to Europe in J or F are between $6k and $12k. So I can take eight trips in F or fly once a month in J. This doesn't seem to be that bad a deal if you really had friends you wanted to hang out with all over the world for the rest of your life. It's not that much travel in any particular year, but I'm not sure how sustainable a lifestyle this is.

A not insignificant worry would be AA's financial health.
