New frequent flyer with a question.....
If one earns miles via purchases with a partnering credit card, do you also get credit for the miles from the airline when those "credit card" miles are used?

no, mileage cannot be accrued on free tickets (i.e., tickets awarded through the frequent flyer program, or tickets given as a result of bumping).

The ASTA Travelpro CC works through a local TA and the tickets do get mileage. You get to pick the carrier also.
