in many domestic chinese flight (esp. smaller airlines) they give out gift to everybody for even cattle class (some of these planes are 1 class anyway).....such as key ring holder, name card holder, airplane model, etc....some of these even have lucky draw on each flight giving out 2 different prizes..
The rationale for this was that the government frobid them from reducing price, so they have to think about ways to rebate.
