Thumbs up Independence Air (flyi.com) double points

For travel now through June 30th, iCLUB Members will receive double iPOINTs on all Independence Air flights booked online at FLYi.com. So, let’s do the math—that means you’ll earn one iCLUB Award for each $750 spent on travel on Independence Air between now and June 30, 2005. And remember that there are no blackout dates to plan around—any available seat is available for award travel.* That’s part of making it easy to Go Your Own Way.

At first I thought that was for flights booked soon that are flown by 06/30/05, but at second glance it looks like there's no time window for purchase. This makes them more like the WN promotion of double credit for booking online (must be booked online to get double credit).

Secondarily within that message mentions a fare sale through 12/08/04, though with the dollar-based points system, the sale fare doesn't help you get award tickets any faster (for those not familiar with the program).

From today's Washington Post business section, a report that Indy's November loads were lighter than October's:

I'll be doing my holiday travelling on them in a couple of weeks, but I'm not sure I'd plan on using them for a trip in May or August.
