Speaking of Petrossian, the Petrossian bar in Bellagio in Vegas is outstanding. Excellent caviar and salmon, terrific martinis and iced vodkas.
Of course, there is always the bill (for those of us who don't gamble). |
I remember in the early 1980s Pan Am served the caviar in F out of a large tin; in the late 1980s each F passenger got a nice little jar of caviar. They still had all the trimmings at the end though.

Was in EVA FC TPE to SFO sometime last year. Caviar and lobster tail both available, although the latter was too dry.

LH has the cart with caviar (Caspian) and toast in F (international).

Qantas ditched caviar a few years ago, when the Australian government banned the import of the product. An odd response from Qantas, given that half of their meals are loaded *outside* Australia ...

The person I was traveling with must have had 20-30 of them over the course of 5 hours... If I recall, at a Scandanavian crayfish party, you are supposed to have one shot of some type of alcohol (vodka?) with each crayfish. Last crayfish party I attended (years ago in Sweden), I had to cut WAY back on the alcohol or else I probably still wouldn't have sobered up to this day http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
AA definitely serves caviar in first ( on 3 class flights ) on all dinner transcontinental flights to JFK, BOS, at least. I have been very impressed with their service. Had caviar and lobster in first on AA 142 from JFK-LHR last October

Twice last year when I flew first class on Air France between JFK and CDG, they served a half-ounce jar of caviar with blini and toasts along with other condiments. If my memory is correct, the jar was labed by 'Caviar House'. As the blinis served were very dry and hard, I decided to keep the jar and had a pleasure of finishing it in my hotel room at Paris with wonderful warm toasts and scrambled oeufs! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif Wonder if AF still serves caviar by jar?
