Is USA Today subscription available for miles?

I received a free USA Today subscription from a post in SPAM. I'd now like to subscribe. Does any airline offer a subscription for miles? I've checked UA, where it appears to be available for $79 plus 2000 miles for a year. It is not on the AA list of periodicals. Any other thoughts?

Hi,
I saw a link on here about 1 month ago that said you could get USA today for 2000 miles and no cost. Also listed LA times and a few other papers for miles all on UA
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Robert

As best I can tell, the United offer is a cash plus miles deal. From their website:

Regular Price Discount % Price per week Miles Redeemed Your Total*
52 weeks
$195.00 60% $1.50 2000 Miles $78.00

So I'd be paying $78 plus 2000 miles. Now, despite that claiming that USA Today is normally $195 for an annual subscription, when I checked their website, it is $119/year. The 2000 miles gives a $40 discount - a reasonable use of miles, but I've got sufficient miles I'd prefer to find an offer that makes it completely free.

Hi agian,
I tried to do a search but it wasn't working for me with my connection right now however, I think the posting was on the Spam site.
Try that, if your search is working on flyertalk.
regards,
Robert

Robert, I missed that - I'll have to go in search of it on Trip Reports. Sounds fascinating. You are doing some intriguing destinations!

I renewed mine via Hilton Honors. It takes a couple of months for the points to post. I sent an email after about 10 weeks and they then posted the 5,000 points quickly after that.

It's on their website under Earning Points, however here are the details:

To subscribe, please call 1-800-USA-4229 and request Key Code 622.

USA TODAY Subscription
HHonors Member Price HHonors Bonus Points

1 Year $119.00 5,000 Points
6 Month $71.50 2,000 Points
3 Month $34.00 1,000 Points

Ahhh, I posted in a confusing way. I'd like to SPEND miles for a free subscription rather than pay money and earn miles.

On that site, USA Today requires paying money in addition to the miles. (Original poster wants USA Today without paying money.)

I had a promotion for 3 months free and I got the paper for another 2-3 weeks after that.

Now I am getting it for a full year from another promotion for free.
