a very appetizing (?) collection of airlines memorabilities ...
Charles Sant, Webmaster and collector extraordinaire, wants your air sickness bags! Although heaven knows he has enough of them: On his site, Momentos of Motion Discomfort, at
http://www.netlink.co.uk/users/gnarly/sickbag.html
he claims to have 649 bags of 300 different types--and posts the pictures to prove it. How did he amass such a collection? "I must admit to not having flown on all of [the airlines]," he confides, "but once people learn about my hobby, they are usually very good in [sic] picking up new specimens for my collection." Jaded as we are by countless hours of sifting through the lees of cyberspace, we were shocked by Sant's links page; it connects to nearly 20 more barf-bag collectors' pages.

Don't know if anyone else goes back this far but in the late '70's, AA had "barf bags" with advertisements on them. The best one (to my admittedly strange sense of humor):
Film Developing. Just plop your little roll of film in and... Which always lead to discussions not suitable in cyberspace!

As my interest in air travel goes back to when I was a kid in the early 70's, I collected the junior pilot wings given out by the crew. Soon, my relatives and family friends were contributing to my collection. Recently, I went into the attic and found my collection of little metal wings and took inventory. I ended up accumulating over 40 of these little gems. Wein Air Alaska, Pan Am, BOAC, Hughes Airwest, Ozark, Southern, Allegheny and Eastern just to mention a few of the unique ones.

Mileage Addict, it may be a crazy thought of mine but I would take those wings put them in a frame or display of some kind and put them up somewhere (your office, if you have kids
in their room, etc.) That's an impression
collection and a great conversation piece.
Then someday when we are earning mileage on SPACE travel we can say "once upon a time, there were these big 747's and 757's.)
And first class in space will STILL be full!

From when I used to fly in the 70's, I have several airline pins & buttons...several from Allegheny Airlines, which is now named as USAir. Oh, I also have a news article that my mom gave me, she was the first unaccompanied minor to fly in a commercial aircraft.
