Best Upgrade to Europe?

Not sure this falls into a specific class since I don't care which airline I fly.

Got a trip coming up to Rome. My company used to insisit on booking flights but has recently allowed us to book our own, PROVIDED it's not some outrageous fare. Usually I have flown on full fare economy tickets and I'm trying to figure out the best way to upgrade to business. (I don't expect to upgrade to first class).

Comfy seats and enough legroom are of the most importance to me. Pretty much everything else is of less importance. It's been nearly two years since I pulled a long overwater flight to europe and I have no idea who has the best deal in going from full coach to business.

Alternatively is there a site that offers near comparitive costing between full fare coach and business?

Got any Ideas or Advice you can share?

Regards,

Often there is little difference between full fare econ and a restrictive business fare.

Otherwise if you have Amex you can get an upgrade from full fare econ to business on many carriers.

Flight to Paris from L.A. Upgrade

I plan to fly Air France or Delta on 11/20.
Can I trade my other Airlines' miles with other FTers to get upgrade?
I have never traded miles before so don't know how it works.

Are they any travel agencies that I can buy Buiness Class tickets at a little discount price? Any advice will be appreciated.

When is your planned trip? CO/NW/AA etc are offering Bix seats on sale from mid to late Nov at fares that can be comparable to some coach ($1000-1500).

Trip schedule from 11/19 or 11/20 to 11/28 or 11/29

We are a little flexible.
The trip is from 11/19 or 11/20 to 11/28 or 11/29.
$1000~1500 will be great.

Look in the Mileage Run forum. You should be able to relatively easily find business class fares of ~$1400 ex-LAX for when you're traveling.
