Why do you fly the airline that you do?

I always fly USair whenever possible, where I'm GOLD - and my second choice is Delta, where I'm a SILVER. USair is usually cheaper and they treat me better. Recently Delta cancelled a flight I was scheduled to be on and even though it was cancelled several days in advance they never even bothered to call me. Luckily I double checked my itinerary on their website and noticed that in addition to my original flight there was another flight on my records for the same day. When I called to inquire they informed me that the original flight had been cancelled and they had rebooked me on a later flight (MUCH later in the day! - I would have arrived at my destination at 7 Pm instead of 11 AM). the agent was very helpful and put me on another flight which got me there at around 11:30, and they upgraded me to first class since that was all that was available.

I fly AA because I live in the Mid-Hudson Valley, about an hour and a half from NYC and AA flies out of SWF (Newburgh, NY) which is about 10 minutes from my house. I belong to AActive American which has fairly reasonable fares out of here. The other airlines up here use those little planes that make me nervous. Hey, what can I say? I love to travel but I don't necessarily love to fly.
Anyhow, a trip to NYC from here is a nightmare no matter what time of the day it is and it's so nice to just drive down the road a piece and there I am. Since I am now retired the extra time I save going out of here means I don't have to rise with the roosters!!
