Flying between Milan and Rome/ow
Hey FTers,
I may be flying solo to Milan on Sunday and probably will opt to take a flight to Rome instead of the train.
Any idea of what a oneway fare between the two cities are?

Watch out for Alitalia international flights that originate in Rome, stop in Milan to pick up passengers, and continue on. If you disembark in Milan, you'll need to clear customs and immigration. Annoying.

I have taken a flew flights with AirEurope between Milan and Naples and they seemed to be quite reliable and their fares reasonable. I know they go to Rome as well; you can check out their site at www.aireurope.it/index_en.html. I booked my flights via biztravel.

Flying Alitalia, I paid $225 (R/T) on a business trip this past summer -- an MD80 to FCO and an A321 to MXP. Unlike you though, I purchased the ticket a full week before the flight. If you decide to use AZ, you will be AMAZED at how many Alitalia employees will join you. It's basically the AZ employee shuttle since Alitalia has shifted large portions of their FCO hub to MXP. Both legs of the trip I took had a minimum of 80% AZ employees! Whatever you decide, enjoy your trip -- Rome is fantastic!!!
