Randy Peterson Advises The PLAYBOY Advisor!

In the November 2000 issue of PLAYBOY, USA edition, page 57, The Playboy Advisor section, Randy Peterson offers his professional opinions and advice on a travel question pertaining to the redeeming of miles.

The Playboy Advisor is a question and answer section where seldom their advisors have to look elsewhere for their responses. Questions usually range from fashion, food and drink, stereo and sports cars to dating dilemmas, taste and etiquette. This travel related question was an exception. They turned to our very own guru, Randy Peterson, and also mentioned Inside Flyer and www.webflyer.com !!!

Congratulations, Randy!

So very busy and yet he MADE the time!

Now we can only hope that he might take us ALL to the mansion when he gets the inevitable invite to there!

Good venue for a FT event, eh!

Hey, I read Playboy only for the articles:-)

Honestly, Playboy and the New Yorker are the two places to make your fame if you are are an aspiring novelist.

Way to go Randy! Are you collecting Bunny miles for each article they publish with you?

Yes, ozstamps. I borrowed it from my Playboy Lifetime Subscription Library. I knew a good value when I saw one back in October 1971 when rock was young and so was I. One of the best investments I've made. And I can will it to one heir!

Oh, you guys are very funny. I of course am only in there for the interviews - and of course the hopes of actually reinstating my Playboy Key from years past. I guess through the years I've been in Playboy answering frequent flyer questions about a half dozen times. I never thought to actually go out and get a copy to frame, but maybe I better think about it this time. BTW, who's on the cover so I know what I'm looking for and where's the best place to get a copy in a wrapper? If you want me in there again (please!), simply send Playboy another question about frequent flyer programs. My favorite memory of the bunnies was when in college at UNLV, myself and several college roommates saw the infamous black with white bunny tail Playboy jet approach landing in Las Vegas and we high-tailed (no pun intended) over to the airport to drool at the deplaning cadre of bunnies, tails and all. All that aside, whose the main interview with in this issue?

"back in October 1971"
Wow, back in the days when Hugh combed his hair, not glued it on.

In a recent edition of Playboy there was a question and answer regarding two unpleasant experiences whereby flight attendants were rude to passengers reading the magazine on the plane. In response, Playboy declared a week in October "Playboy on the plane week". I just wondered if anyone participated or observed anyone else participating?

Boy does that bring back memories. I remember getting my Playboy Key in the mail, many years ago. It was actually a gold metal credit card with the bunny logo on the background.

Spent some fun times in the Clubs in Baltimore, New York and Chicago...way back when.

MRLIMO, I've got some old classic copies of Playboy that I found just recently when we moved to LA from PDX. First issue without staples, Madonna's first nekkid shots, and a few others, all still in mint condition.

Randy, the November 2000 issue of Playboy has none other than the WWF Wrestling Phenom, Chyna on the cover. The Playboy Interview presents Ben Stiller. I imagine some stores or newsstands carry the issue in a wrapper. I'm just not sure which chains do since I haven't purchased an issue in several decades. I believe Hef's Flying Bunny with a circular or was it heart shaped bed was a 727, but someone can correct me on those details?

shadow, those issues are keepers! Don't let them out of your sight. I still have my gold metal Playboy Credit Card in my archives and a few plastic ones as well, sans the metallic strip on the back. Additionally, I'm proud to have acquired an orange Playboy ashtray and a white VIP ashtray from the Los Angeles Playboy Club when it was still located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California USA. Oh, those memories of love long ago that didn't work out right! It was such a thrill (in my early 20s) to be served by the same bunnies that graced the pages of the magazine. And as a matter of fact, it still would be.

Andy2, I hadn't heard about the "Playboy On The Plane Week" situation you mentioned. Perhaps others have? I would not have participated. Personally, I don't feel it is appropriate to peruse Playboy or similar materials on an airplane or anywhere the general public is in close proximity, due to its nudity. I feel there is always the possibility of wandering eyes.

So no one knows exactly what it looks like or where to get a copy anymore? Hmmmmm .. this is sounding like "..but I didn't inhale" Try your local Seven-11 - it's right next the the section of the counter where you can buy single cigarettes for a buck apiece, and the 'herbal' stimulants! (the addicts counter!)
