Shareholder discounts

Hi all

Recently I have been examining shares in Australia and the various shareholder discounts and benefits that are available.

It struck me that it was possible that airlines might give their shareholders discounts. Here in Australia we do not have anylien Airline shareholder discounts but I came across the following page for UK shareholders:
http://www.spaghetti.uk.com/shareholders.html

Notably Airtours and British Airways give discounts to shareholders and it appears that even Australian shareholders could benefit from these discounts.

Here's a relevant BA page (they do care!)
http://www.british-airways.com/insid...nfo/care.shtml

The following page seems to suggest that there are shareholder discounts at ANA.
http://svc.ana.co.jp/amc_e/guide/tameru/flightmile.html

Here is a list of NZ shareholder discounts but sadly I see no sign of Air New Zealand...

I wonder what oither airline and/or hotel benefits are available for shareholders? Do fellow flyertalkers take advantage of them?

cheers Peter

I think JL and JD also do. Along with NH, these companies' discount coupons for shareholders are widely sold at 'coupon shops' in Japan, apparently shareholders who got them just sell them for cash.

JD is Japan Air System, the No. 3 Japanese airline serving mostly domestic routes.

Just digressing a bid, I might add these shareholder coupons were rumoured to be used by these airlines to generate funds to make donations to politicians.
