I agree! I had a sale fare to Europe and it timed out again and lost the fare.

THe 10% off web fare is nice IF you can get it.

Email on the way.

Thanks,

DR

I've found that often when "aa.com" is closed for maintenance, you can still get through to "americanair.com"

One problem I have with AA.com is that I can never get through to their "gates and times" feature. The page never fully loads. I used to have the same problem with Continental's site.

The seat selecter feature at AA.com has a few quirks to it. My browser normally has no problem with java, but I have to load the non-java version with the AA seat maps. Also, once I've selected seats for all the segments of my trip, I have to go back to the first one to confirm the last one.

Anyway, aa.com has some handy features, and in general I'm fairly pleased.

It is sad when the only way to get a booking online with AA is from a site other than American's. I thought things would improve when Crandall left, but it appears that 'business as usual' is the daily bread!
