I just rented a car under one of the TED offers. It was a weekend rental with Hertz in SEA for a full size car at $16.00 per day, plus those ridiculous Seattle taxes. Not a bad price if you need a car.

I'm wondering too. I signed-up to get Ted's spam, but I saw no mention of miles just for doing this.

Thanks for giving folks a heads up about this. Free and easy miles are no doubt buzz-worthy!

Let's not have splintered discussion of the offer, though. Discussion of the particulars is taking place in this thread in the United forum. Please see the aforementioned thread for further discussions.

(And for what it's worth, I received the offer by email which said that it was valid for recipients of the email only )

My father received the Ted offer with 500 miles, but other family members got another Ted advertisement without any mention of 500 miles.

One more thing. I did just get an e-mail offering me 500 miles if I signed-up, after I already signed up. It was a big URL with a bunch of numbers, so it looks like it was targeted. I clicked on it and it lead me to the same URL posted above. I tried re-signing up, but it told me I'm already signed-up. Hopefully the other URL just notes I'm going to the sign-up page, so I'll still get my miles.
