Yes, I received a fax today from LatinPass that, "Please be advise [sic] that effective today any bonus miles transfer request to an account in Mariott Rewards, Hilton HHonors or any other program (Distancia, AviancaPlus, PremiumPass, AeroPass) will only be done in a maximum increment of 30,000 miles per month. For each transfer you must send a written request with copy of a picture ID."

That was in response to my fax to them of yesterday in which I requested a mileage tranfer to Marriott of considerably more than 30,000 miles. Even though I made the "request" yesterday and their fax indicated "effective today", they would not agree to the larger transfer so I just faxed them again today requesting the 30,000 from both my account and my wife's account (we are both MM holders as a result of the MM promotion) be transferred into 60,000 Marriott Reward points.

harveymech, that is excellent news! Thanks for doing the legwork. Did you ask about whether India would be a valid de3stination?
I did check with Marriott and they did say that we could use United anyplace in the world that they fly and that they would transfer 200,000 out and I would end up with enough miles for two people economy coach to India, which I informed her was 160,000 miles (80,000 per person). I had already checked with United Mileage Plus and they said that they are not going to India presently but in April they are resuming flights there (I inquired about LAX to New Delhi and that was their response)

I have utilized a Marriott award code 713 to go on a trip to India using United Airlines. This trip was taken sixteen months ago and the terms of this particular award have changed somewhat. When my wife and I traveled to India you did not get miles on United, we received a voucher from Marriott and brought it to the United ticket office after making the reservation directly with United. I am about to utilize another of these awards so I called Marriott to find out the latest details.
Apparently the rules have changed for some of the airlines that are involved. For United and American flights the appropriate mileage will be posted to your account to get you and a guest to the destination desired. All other airlines will have vouchers issued as in the past that get you to your destination.
As for going to India again I was told that no participating airline presently has service to India. Delta does have service but travel to India is specifically not covered by the agreement. United has announced the resumption of Flight 1 and 2 around the world service, begining next April (LAX-HKG-DEL-FRANKFURT-JFK-LAX) but are not issuing awards as yet for flights to India. Uniteds' web site can not even tell you how many miles are needed to travel to India. Right now the most miles you can have credited from Marriott to either American or United is 60,000. In the past India was covered under Award code 713 but also in the past this award code included eight days of mid size car rental. Things change and we will see.

Is This 30K miles limit to EACH other program(meaning each month one can transfer 30k to Distancia, 30K to Marriott, 30K to Hilton etc, etc) or ONE 30K trnasfer per month from your LatinPass account to another programme ?
