Benchmark of Airlines & Alliance Partners
As most of you know, DL has pulled the rug out from under its loyal medallion members when it announced the new FF 2001 rules. We DL loyalist tried to get Randy to give us advice, and to date we have not heard word one from him. As a result of his lack of feedback, and in an effort to protect you (FTers) from our constant complaining and spamming on the matter, we started a new board solely for the purpose of dealing with the DL 2001 FF changes.
Several of the DL loyalist have requested a weighted matrix benchmark program be developed to help them determine which airlines is best for them and which alliance they should belong to. I have volunteered to write this program, and it will either be in HTML or Excel (if Excel, it will be downloadable from the FF-TALK DL board.) The program will benefit us all, as it is going to be an unbiased program (a few people may be better off with DL even after the changes, so we are trying to help verses swaying one to switch from Delta without first looking at hard facts and data.)
If you think this program may help you, please take a look at www.ff-talk.com Bulletin Board Option, then go to the General Comments topic / Airline / Alliance Benchmark Survey ?s ( http://64.176.190.152/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000004.html ) thread. If there is anything you would like to see in the program that is not listed, please feel free to suggest more items, as it will be easier for me if I have all the items I need to include before I start the programming. (Please post the items on the ff-talk.com board as I am trying to keep everything in one place.)
Please understand, we are not trying to compete in any way with FT at this time, we are just trying to ease the burden on those that are frustrated with our constant complaints and sending a message to Randy that silence may not be the proper response from an unbiased editor and self proclaimed guru (although we really dont know what is in his mind as he has been absent and or ignoring us for a while.)

Just to let you know, Randy has been incommunicado in Asia and Australia for the last few weeks. Also without getting personal, Randy was proclaimed a mileage guru by almost every national newspaper in the United States....The New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal among others.
He will most probably reply on his return.
