Safeway miles posted?

Has anybody out there actually seen their miles posted from purchasing food at Safeway?

Mine haven't been. Has anyone had success in contacting or dealing with Safeway on this? The web page makes it sound like they are not accessible except by a written post office letter.

I would suggest you talk with the manager of your local Safeway store where you originally signed up. We had a problem that was quickly straightened out that way. Hopefully, all of your purchases are recorded through your Safeway card, so you should get all your miles.

One question - on your cash register receipts, is it printing out how many miles you have accumulated? It should be doing that on each visit.

My pathetic 125 miles have posted. When you travel 5 days a week, you really don't run up that big of a grocery store bill. But I second the suggestion to check your receipt to make sure you are indeed registered

I have a number for this program that took a great deal of persistence to find, which I would be willing to share with you. It's for Safeway and I suspect that if it's a matter of your miles not posting with United that they're going to direct you to the United part of the program, but it's worth a shot.

The woman I spoke to when I was having a problem with points not showing up was very friendly and helpful, so she may have a specific United number she can provide if she can't do anything for you directly.

I would prefer not to post the number, so please contact me by e-mail if you wish to have the number.

Also note that when you have accumulated enough purchases for miles, a special note is added to your store receipt to indicate you have 'purchased' the miles !!

I contacted Safeway today and also have a number that got me results (I hope). They had the wrong United number in the system so hopefully now eveything should post.

Email me if you need a number (800), but I'm not sure why I shouldn't just post it - it's not an elite line, after all.

You can contact the Safeway Club Card hotline at: 888-507-5757 to see if they are accumulating your miles. They even retroactively went back and posted mine.
