Legislation to Stop Delays & Other Things

A word to the weary who fly a lot:

A report came out in the news today that Congress is trying to end delays.

In another related story, UNITED today said they are cancelling MORE flights as a result of their delicate labor relations from the impending merger to US AIR.

United said a "sharp increase" in sick calls last weekend led to the bulk of the cancellations.

The old "wallet" virus struck again!

Toner's Law of Government:
Problems increase geometrically in proportion to the legislation designed to "cure" them.

If this does not clearly demonstrate to the DOJ why several mega-carriers are not a good thing, I don't know what will.

Imagine if the UA problems included US?!

When 1 carrier has problems, the other carriers can pick up some slack (granted, with 80% load factors, it's not all that easy). When there are only 2 or 3 mega-carriers and 1 goes down, take your current problem and double/triple it!
