multi-airline milage run

Northwest currently has a cyber-fare for $449 from detroit to tokyo. Available for departures on 8/09/00 with returns on 08/15/00 and 08/16/00. You wil obviously need to find a way to Detroit if you are not in the vicinity.

You will be able to post the 12796 RT elite qualifying miles to NW (obviously), Continental, or US Airways (they have a special Asia parnership with NW). Not sure if HP or Alaska will accept the miles, maybe?

It works out to 3.5 cents per mile plus a trip to Japan!

I only wish I was available for the trip.

Thanks for the info. AS takes NW miles as status miles.
