Perth to Bali for a day $A249

Hi all

Here's an amazing fare (mileage run?) I stumbled across today (ex Perth, Australia).
http://www.travelshop.com.au/content...?SpecialID=477

I'm not sure who Garuda are partnered with or even if they have a frequent flyer program but for the equivalent of US$160 or so the opportunity to visit kuta beach and do a bit of shopping is amazingly cheap.

It would be nice if Qantas and Ansett matched the fare.

cheers Peter

It appears Garuda is partnered with Northwest (at least for USA members)

An easy 5154 km (3000 or so) miles.

cheers Peter

Ozstamps

It'd be a long flight from our cities to bali and back.

Still the idea has merit. We do already have
mystery flights for a day.

The other concern I'd have is about flying Garuda. The planes are probably serviced in Australia but even so...

How about day trip flights on Ansett or Qantas to Auckland, Noumea and Port Vila. Now that would be nice...

cheers Peter

Garuda miles for Worldperks can only be accrued on their flights from HKG,SIN,KIX, Nagoya to Jakarta/DPS/domestic legs. Not from Australia.

I am not sure if they have any other partners.

Garuda seem pretty much alone. There was talk that Qantas was looking at buying them I think?
