e-mail "ff-marketing-research-requests"
In the last 24 hours I have received by e-mail 4 different "general marketing-research-requests" on my opinion of:
- ff-programs in general
- StarAlliance ff-program
- comparison ff-programs world one / StarAlliance
I hesitate to give (an unknown individual, giving me just an email-address) exclusively my opinion:
- with not getting any infos in return (which I do when we discuss things here)
- me just "working" for somebody who is not willing me to give us/you-all on flyerTalk anything (infos) in return
- answering on undeferenciated/unstructered general questions (letting all the thinking/work done trough me/us)
I guess, that some of you have received similar "enquiries".

Rudi/IDUR... I received one of these surveys
when I was logged on the American Airlines
site recently. It said I was randomly selected to do the survey for what I believe was 250 miles. I checked otu the firm, it's a legitimate consumer information company
based in the Midwest so I did the survey.
Now I wait for my points.
But your hesitation was absolutely right.
You could be passing on your e-mail address to a firm that will fill your mailbox with
junk mail,(IN U-S-A it's called SPAM liked the Canned chopped ham by Hormel) other unscrupulous firms could get your e-mail and who knows what else.
Yes, I'm paranoid about this... but I'm careful not to give out any personal information to anyone (except my FlyerTalk
Friends, who I trust... especially you, RUDI/
IDUR!) CATMAN

thank you CatMan, but it wasn't my e-mail address I am worried (it is anyway available to anybody having a look at it here).
I am asking if you too had anonymous e-mail-postings these last days questioning you generally on your opinion on ff-programs.
(with UA and SR I always get structurized questions during the year - and get a mileage-bonus for doing it - but that's not what I am asking right no).

I also got prompted for a survey at the AA website and it an offer to a chance of winning $500 cash, not miles. I gave my alternate e-mail address in case they seel it to spammers.
