Emoneymail.com does it work for anyone?

I tried using emoneymail.com to send money thus earn FF miles on my visa card, they kept coming back with credit card not authorized, even though my account info is correct. I got a reply from them today on this:

----------
eMoneyMail seeks to provide customers with a highly secure way to send
money over the Internet. Given the current security concerns with the
Internet, we employ the highest security standards possible to protect
our customers and ensure that fraudulent transactions are minimized.

As a result, while your card may be fine for usage outside of
eMoneyMail, it may not meet the security standards employed by
eMoneyMail. We screen for such things as frequent card usage online,
potential identity manipulation, billing address discrepancies, and
IP address discrepancies.

We apologize if these standards cause you any inconvenience. We hope
you understand our need to protect you and all of our customers from
unauthorized credit card use.

Sincerely,

J.R. McCullough

jeffo - Make certain that the billing address is exactly as it appears on the billing statement.

I've noticed that when I place my apt. number on the second address line, for an on-line order, rather than immediately after my street address, on the first address line, the merchant rejects the transaction. I then make the correction and the transaction is fine.

Could you theoretically deposit money into your account with a milage visa and then send it to yourself or to another bank and then pay off your visa card with it?

ToddReit - Check out ecount, where you can do exactly that. You can bank your funds in an account, funded by your cc, then you can "pay" the same cc back with the funds that you funded the account with.

Does it show up then as a purchase or are you charges a cash advance?

The charge on ecount.com shows up as a purchase. I spoke to a rep from the company over the weekend and asked about this and was assured that it was not a cash advance.

Thanks for the replies to my initial question. After dealing with a Bank One exec on this, they said that (emoneymail.com) they send out the approval to the credit card company then they score it after it comes back. Apparently they didn't like my score because I had a "name change" on my Visa account (adding a spouse recently) in the last six months. So I'm switching to Ecount...thank you for that info.... More miles, here I come!
