CO flys a couple of flights a day from EWR to CLT, and you should be able to get a somewhat cheaper fare, especially staying over a Sat. night.

I live near CLT and fly to new york often. FORGET charlotte drive to raliegh and save HUGH amounts of money. Let me know if you need more info.

Maybe not good on short notice, but DL is usually less through CVG if you don't mind connecting to ISP. Give it a shot!!
