Travelocity.com changes
Beware of the new Travelocity.com site. They have just merged w/Preview travel, and the results seem to be very disappointing (don't you all hate this merger-mania?).
I need to cancel a hotel reservation. With the previous version of Travelocity, that procedure used to be a snap, but their new website won't let me do that at all. I keep getting an error message stating:
This reservation was made while you were in Travelocity Reservations. In order to complete the ticketing
process, please return to Travelocity Reservations (http://www.travelocity.com/) and retrieve the
reservation.
And so on so forth every time I try. I AM in Travelocity Reservations!!! Calling customer service is just as difficult: I've been on hold for the last 45 minutes (at least they have a nice selection of classical music to soothe your ears while you're waiting...). but no human response yet. I can't find an email address for customer service either (at this point I'm so frustrated with this whole thing, I might not see it if it were staring me right in the face). Does anyone have an email address for these jokers?
Oh, and last but not least, Travelocity no longer participates in milesmall.com.
Sounds like g'bye Travelocity for me....

Sorry to say I *never* liked Travelocity. I admit I use them for checking fares, but I had such a horrible experience one time, I have *never* used them again. When easySabre went away I was in mourning, so Travelocity is the closest I could find to locating the good fares. Then I book them on the airline site, BizTravel, who ever is having a deal at the time. I was sorry to see Preview Travel go, I found their customer service people to be very helpful. Ah well, such is life online and in travel

I have had good luck with http://www.travelweb.com I believe they use the standard Internet Travel Network for data and reservations. I don't know who owns them or if they have partners.
