i'm in the camp of loving the program as well. as an unlimited member, over the past year, i have become a nw and us flyer for both domestic and int'l. now i'm covered completely on those two airlines. most of my travel on aa and dl has been int'l, so with my platinum on aa, i'm covered for 1w. that leaves my only hole on dl, as they do not allow access to rcc at jfk.
since my mileage nets out at about 200K per year, my traveling with guests is usually limited. $21 per visit with a guest would most definitely underestimate our bar expenses at most airports i've been in.
i think pp is a winner.
