good day,

for what's it worth, you can get up to 14,500 miles at nwa by switching your telephone(s) to sprint. you will have to pay some bucks for it however. here is the url:
http://www.nwa.com/freqfly/direct/enrol/

and here is a gist of the situation:
[*] Sign up for Sprint Nickel NightsSM and earn up to 10,000 Bonus Miles (5,000 miles applied 6 to 8 weeks after your first and sixth invoice).

. . . their nickel nights plan will cost you 5.95 per month
[*] Sign up for Sprint Toll FreeSM service and earn up to 2,000 Bonus Miles (1,000 miles applied 6 to 8 weeks after first and sixth invoice).

. . . the toll-free option costs you 4.00 per month
[*] You will earn 5 miles for every dollar spent on Sprint services (excluding taxes, credits and surcharges).

. . . baby miles

so, if you pay about 10.00 per month to sprint for 2 or 3 months ($20 to $30) you will wind up with 6,000 miles + 500 miles (for signing up online) + your baby miles.

if you stay with sprint for the 6 or 7 months (paying them $60 to $70 altogether) you wind up getting another 6,000 miles + baby miles

(you can get another 2,000 by switching a second line . . . 500 + 6,000 + 6000 + 2000 = 14,500 + baby miles).

you obviously have to decide if this long distance plan is worth your time and wallet.

take care

By the way they were giving 25,000 miles on NW if you asked for that promotion. You may want to ask a supervisor at Sprint if they are still offering that promo.

interesting. thanks for the tip. i went to both sprint's and nwa's websites . . . neither one mentioned anything about this. then, i went to: http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/sdi1moox/
and found a link to get up to 27,500 miles on nwa by staying with sprint's plan for a year. of course, since you get 5,000 miles after the 1st, 3rd, 6th and 12th months, one could always bail out after month 3 and get the same amount of miles as originally listed above.

i signed up that way, and the links all worked (i.e., nothing about an expired link, or a "you can't access that page" message).

On Sprint bonuses you are ineligible if you have ever received a Sprint bonus before at any time in your life. This "policy" is not in the fine print in their offers and they will not tell you this either until months go by, the miles don't get posted, and you finally get through to a customer rep.
Nonetheless, if you are an ex-customer, they will still stuff your mailbox with mileage offers that they have no intention of honoring.

I recently switched my mobile service to SprintPCS. Much to my surprise Sprint now waives the montly $5.95 fee for nickel nights.
