Survey: Elite Status One-Third Into The Year

Last October, jgill started a popular survey about elite status. I thought it would be interesting to do it again, now that we are one-third into the year.

Many of you haven't reached your final goal yet, but you may have already reached a lower level. (Example: trying to get to 1K, but you are at Premier level now.)

So, please answer:
A. Are you at any elite level now?
B. What elite level do you want to receive?
C. What is your home airport?
D. Anything else you would like to add?

As for me, I fly enough to make the 25,000-mile level, but all my travel is on different airlines (to get the lowest fare) or on free tickets (no mileage). For example, my annual trip to Europe is always on a free ticket, so there goes a ton of miles! No chance of elite status for me .

BTW, jgill's original survey can be find here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/001790.html

B. US Airways Gold Preferred next year.
I have 44,000+ status miles either flown or booked for the next few months but doubt I'll make it to 100k by year end.

C. DCA/IAD/BWI (in that order of preference)

D.

Thanks for responding. Let me change the question a little, it is a bit confusing:

So, please answer:
A. Are you at any elite level now?
A1. You achieved last year (for 2000)
A2. You already achieved for next year (for 2001)
B. What elite level do you want to receive?
C. What is your home airport?
D. Anything else you would like to add?

EXAMPLE:
A1. You are a 1K this year
A2. You achieved enough so far for Premier next year

Also, PremEx said that he booked 25,000 miles worth of tickets in one phone call last year. That doesn't count!

A1. Current Delta Platinum Medallion

A2. At the moment, I have 40000 status miles (Silver); I will have 52000 by the end of this week (Gold), with a return from Japan and a flight to London.

B. I would be happy with Gold, but I already have enough planned trips to reach Platinum. I might even try for elite on another airline (United, Continental, American & Swissair are most likely).

C. I use all three Bay Area airports (SJC, SFO, OAK).

D. 100% success on upgrades on all trips taken this year, plus two upcoming internation trips already ticketed!

A-TWA Elite and US Silver last year
a1 - US Silver this year
a2 - Gonna be US Gold this year - mid May.
B- Happy happy with US Gold
C- DCA-IAD-BWI
D- Only travel for family and fun - use the points for upgrades-upgrades-upgrades.

Bizjet - IMO - focus on one airline and get the elite - US handed out systemwides to upgrade on lowest published fare - the Envoy cabin on the new A330 to Europe is gonna be alot nicer than a free ticket in steerage.

I agree completely. But the Europe trip was a free Envoy ticket.

I achieved AA gold last year by flying an extra flight to LA just to make Gold, -til Feb 2001 - because I didn't know about the gold challenge even though I'd reading this board.
I just complete the platinum challenge by flying to Europe twice.
I expect to reach gold by flying this year.
I don't think I'll ever achieve platinum again unless it is by a challenge. I'm hoping for lifetime AA gold within 5 years. Already half way there.
I fly out of ORD
