remember clickrewards-starpoints deadline

fellow clickmilers,

The deadline for the 2-1 clickmiles to starpoints is this friday. Remember to redeem by 3-31-00.

I managed to convert 8000 clickmiles without any wwf miles. mostly from currency-to-go, paypal and other expenses.

If you have held off transferring more then 10,000 Clickmiles to Starpoints because you only want to do it if you can double them, you may want to take a chance and transfer more.

I submitted two separate 10,000 Clickmile transfer requests (the web page only takes 10,000 at a time). And . . . lo and behold . . . 40,000 Starpoints!

I can only hope that Starwood continues not to enforce their rule that Starpoints must be earned within the program to be eligible for the 5,000 per 20,000 mile transfer bonus.

Just to add that you can still earn double miles on UAL up to end of June on all your debit card purchases if you're not already a clickrewards customer.

Sign up with clickrewards at http://www.clickrewards.com/promotions/ualmarch.html and at compubank (no fee debit card) with your new clickrewards email address and here you go !

chazas thanks for the tip.

I called starpoints cs. The rep said clickrewards is a program partner and clickmiles converted to starpoints would get 25000 miles for 20000 points.

Another tip:

Two people living at the same address and having individual starpoints accounts can transfer points from one account to other. I've transferred points from my wife's account to my account. Also the points transferred like this from other starpoint accounts also are eligible for the 5000 bonus miles for 20000 starpoints.

I only managed to get 4010 clickmiles transferred for 8020 starwood points. Clickrewards still owes me 472 more miles, having no luck with their customer service dept. (Sigh!) That's almost another 1000 starwood points that I am missing out on.

Tip: Sign up for the AT&T/Starwood 5000 mile bonus ... their web-site said the offer expired, but it didn't!!

Is there a special code for this promotion? I could not find any mention of this promotion anywhere on ClickRewards website. Thanks!

Funny thing, this promotion I thought ran through the 31st. I tried to convert today and was told that the system was not responding. Tonight I log in and the promotion was gone.

a) promo is indeed gone, and replaced by clear 1-to-1
I'm still waiting for some clickmiles and sincerely hope I can ..... at clickrewards later if transferring tomorrow will not give me double starpoints as it's supposed to.
b) RHines81: where is the AT&T - Starpoints 5000 bonus miles promo you mention? Which website?

The promotion is on the Starwood web-site, you have to log in as a member and then click on 'partners', then click on 'telecommunications' from the pull down menu to see the promotion. The offer as stated has expired, but I called the phone number listed for AT&T and they said it was still good ... 5000 miles, 30-day commitment (takes about 8 weeks to fully process though).
I read alot of stories about people not getting their miles posted from AT&T, but I'll take my chances and keep my fingers crossed.

Even though the 2 for 1 promotion is no longer listed they are still honoring it.
I just spoke to someone in CS at Click Rewards and he said that you can redeem points (for double Starwood points) until midnight tonight. The Click Rewards program is a class act. I wouldn't expect anything less from them.

venkat - did you get click rewards from the currency-to-go web-site? I didn't see any link between click rewards and currency-t0-go

dgordon:

I used my compubank visa check card to purchase US$ travellers checks. So compubank gave me clickmiles.
