MileKing: in my alps I learned, once the avallenge is rolling - don't try to stop it - either never join the risky people by staying far away from "the topic", or try to avoid it at the last second by stepping/surfing/skiing aside or if you get caught, try to stay on top of it (controle it and yourself).
Much later - in summer - try to (re-)arrange the endangered zones in a way that the avallenge will not be a repeated catastroph by providing obstacles (trees, artificel fences, etc).

There we go Rudi - you can be the Confucius of FlyerTalk - there's nothing in the Swiss constitution against being a philosopher-king, is there?
For MileKing's sake - perhaps we should post an "Omni" warning in the thread title when going off on tangents like this one, so that those who only want to read about FF topics can avoid anything other than chat about miles. Personally, I find that the tangential threads tell me more about the other contributers' personalities, and I like that.
Catman has definitely been less of a policeman since his trip to Maui!

Being a 'boss' is fine with me. It gives me some toy soldiers to play with while I try to convince companies to jump through all the hoops that will allow me to accept paid employment.
Until then it's purely for charity!
