PayPal Merging

There was a press release today that PayPal is merging with X-Com:
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr...company/xpress

Maybe PayPal customer service will improve. I am still waiting for a direct deposit from Sunday. The web info says no more than 3 business days and it has been 3.

I tried to find a toll free number to inquire, but I don't see one, just e-mail.

Anybody else know how to contact them by phone?

Thanks for the tip. Toll free directory gave me the number (800) 836-1859. However they are closed at the moment. Open 9-5 PST.

I am still waiting to receive money that a friend beamed me nearly six weeks ago. She was charged instantly for the transaction but it is still listed as "pending" in her account. After weeks of daily emails and voice mail to Confinity, she finally received an automated response last week basically saying, "since you've been waiting so long, we assume you've answered your own question."

I certainly don't think the merger will hurt!

I received the direct deposit after 5 business days - - About the same time it takes to receive a check in the mail!

After waiting 20 minutes for the Cofinity rep on hold, she told me they were going to change the message on the web site from 3 to 5 business days.

Thanks for the info Chix.

I wonder how that will effect the money transfers with mile credit cards. Paypay's Max is $5,000 per 180 days, and X.com is $1,000 every 180 days with an "outside" credit cards. They send you their own checks to use.

Anybody know how long it takes to get the PIN # in the mail. When I set up the account, it said I needed this for security purposes and raising my limit.

It took me about two weeks to receive my pin in the mail. Transfers with paypal...about 4-5 days. I'm interested to see if the merger will effect charge limits. Any word?
