Any thoughts on whodunnit?
I've looked at this carefully but cannot make up my mind.
As I see it all three suspects had access to the chip (Lord Vernon was in Daniel's studio at one point and could have given it to his partner).
I suspect that Chen could be eliminated becuase whoever rang the secretary and represented themselves as Dushka must have been female. The question is then - is it Yoshi or Dushka?

It was definitely Lord Vernon and Yoshi. As Karl (our detective) suspected Lord Vernon was in on it. But who else?
Only when Karl saw them together did he figure out who Lord Vernon's accomplice was.
She wanted revenge. Lord Vernon needed the chip. I think Yoshi stole the chip. At showtime, she went in first, followed by Dushka and Lord Vernon. After she exited, she could've stolen the chip, but before Dushka entered.
Yoshi made the phone calls to Olivia and Chen, posing as Dushka. When they left, Lord Vernon planted the evidence against Dushka.
Dushka had "spent the afternoon with Lord Vernon at the famed Singapore Bird Park....we spent three hours staring at cockatoos." Lord Vernon could have easily taken a few strands of Dushka's marigold yellow silk. After spending 3 hours with her, he probably smelt like her as well, but he could've very easily sprayed the scent of lilies of the valley.
Case solved. If a FlyerTalker wins the contest, how about a postcard?

"As the orchestra began, Lord Vernon turned to Yoshi. "Care to dance, my dear?"
"With you?" Yoshi smiled. "Delighted."
Olivia and I watched them stroll out to the floor. They were a graceful, well-matched pair. "Any news?" asked Olivia.
"Our case," I replied, watching the dancers, "is solved."

I'm not that certain.
You haven't eliminated Dushka though. She too could have had access to the chip because Lord Vernon could have stolen it when he was in Chen's studio.
Dushka's scent and silk are obvious clues and of course one might have expected the recipients of the phone calls to be able to distinguish Dushka's voice from other persons.
It is possible that Yoshi might be eliminated because is it really likely that she would steal the chip for her father given their disagreement?
It's not as easy as it looks.

I guess you're right, the clues could both point to Yoshi or Dushka, but:
I still believe this proves that it was Yoshi.

For some reason, I have the feeling that this is one of those contests where it doesn't matter what answers you provide. SQ only wants some publicity, and getting people to read a 4 page novel about its inflight services does well enough. I think they'll choose a winner from anyone who provided answers at all...

Am I the only one who is having trouble posting the reply to the contest? No matter what I say, I get this stupid "Error" screen,
"you might have left an important field blank...blah-blah-blah" -- well, I did not!
Hello, Singapore Airlines - how about telling me which field?

Well so much for possibly winning the contest, I'm under-age.
Does anyone ever read the terms and conditions anyway?
A few days ago it worked. Today it doesn't.

When I tried, I left the phone number section blank because it is marked 'optional'. My entry was rejected. when I went back and put '123456789' in the box, the entry went in fine. Just make sure there is something in every box
