Benefits of FlyerTalk
We all benefit from the discussions here -- bonus miles, upgrades, discounts, etc. But I think I may have found a benefit that's hard to top.
A few months ago, someone posted a message in "The Buzz!" about an email/fax/voicemail service called ureach.com.
I played with the service for a while and thought, "Hey, this is great! These guys finally got it." If only they'd make a couple of enhancements, it'd be perfect.
Long story short, I sent them my ideas and now I'm ureach's director of product development.
So by reading through here, I got a cool new job designing products for FlyerTalkers! (I'm sure I'll be back to pick your collective brains when I settle in.)

Thanks for the links, Doc. I guess I have Kal to thank for the post I saw. I should note that we're much better than eFax.
One thing that many people overlook -- which I think is really cool for people like Rudi, who are overseas -- you can get a number in the U.S. and people can use it to leave you messages or send a fax. Then you can use the Web to retreive them, saving international LD charges.

Hey Matt,
You're most welcome. You're also just down the road from us; we're in Holmdel.

Two other things also emerge. If you don't supply a highlighted link, as I neglected to do the first time I'd mentioned ureach.com initially, it can easily be missed and buried very quickly. Also double posting is not all that bad in many situations. It's also great that the search fuction is now up again. Thanks!

Hi Rocky,
Congrats on the new job...
I have one request (I've sent feedback from the Ureach site with this one).
Any chance of having allowing access to the ureach tollfree number from Canada? (and have the ureachme service terminate in Canada).
I'd love to cancel my jfax account and switch over to ureach -- right now I only my friends in the US can leave me voicemails...
If there is any chance (even at a slightly higher per min fee) that would be awesome.
Thanks,
-Ty

Rocky, I actually used to work in your building in the Updata Capital Group. Actually, I'm not sure if we were in building 1 or 2, but we were on the right side when facing the front of the building. I'm going to tell Updata about your service. I'm sure they'll be as thrilled as I am!
However, I can't get UReachMe to work. I put in my forwarding phone number, but it goes directly to my ureachme voicemail after only 1 ring. I've submitted a request to tech support just now. I'm sure it's a setting I've set incorrectly.

Matt-
We're in the other building. (Left side.) I think I may have the answer to your uReachMe question. Please check your email.
